I arrived at Bassmead Manor Barns to find Lauren putting all of her carefully chosen details into place throughout the venue.

Bassmead is a stunning venue nestled in the heart of rural Cambridgeshire, a cosy 'Rickety Barn' for your ceremony and a light and airy barn conversion for your speeches, wedding breakfast and partying! It's really quite unique.

John & his groomsmen arrived later in the morning and I spent some time capturing them getting ready. Watching them Google 'how to fasten a button hole' and then following the 'how to' video was extremely amusing!

Lauren & John were married with a lovely personal ceremony in front of their closest friends and family. Upon their exit into the sun soaked courtyard they were showered with confetti.

After welcome drinks and group photographs there was plenty of time to head to Bassmead's iconic driveway with the bride and groom plus bridesmaids, ushers and best man for some fun images. They took absolutely no encouragement to relax and enjoy themselves!

The bridal party headed back to the barn while Lauren, John and I made the most of the beautiful setting for some couple portraits.

Upon our return, everyone was heading in to be seated ready for the wedding breakfast. Hilarious speeches (including a guest appearance by John's beloved sunglasses), amazing food and much mingling happened next.

It was a lovely warm evening and I'd spotted a field of wheat earlier in the day. You've guessed it! Bouquet and jacket left behind we headed to that very field for some beautiful and romantic early evening photographs.

After a slow wander back to their guests Lauren & John cut their fabulous cake and then took to the dance floor for their first dance. I adore these images of them dancing, they look so happy and relaxed.

I hope you enjoy this small selection of my favourite images from their day.
