After grabbing a quick coffee and returning to my wedding fair stand shortly before opening time, I was greeted by a very bubbly and smiley lady collecting one of my business cards.

We struck up an easy conversation immediately! Not only was Bryony planning her own wedding to Chris, but she was also the wedding planner for the Haycock Hotel at Wansford - where their reception would be held.

With so much more to talk about and Chris not being there, I visited them at their home a few weeks later. We chatted non stop that day and I was made up to receive an email later that week asking me to capture their special day.

We were treated to a beautifully sunny day in mid May for their engagement shoot. We wandered down a winding country lane, past thatched cottages to a pretty pasture with a gorgeous oak tree and beautiful light.

Bryony was extremely busy on the morning of her wedding. Not only having the most stunning loose up do created by Stacey of Beaux Amis (complete with hand crafted hair piece made by Bryony's super talented friend Robynne) and her make up perfected by Jade Davison, but also making sure everything was in place and perfect at the venue!

While all of that was happening I caught up with Chris and his best men and ushers. I was amazed at just how organised they were! All suited and booted, ready to roll, we got some great images of them chatting and chilling in the garden - also receiving very stylish watches a thank you gifts from the bride and groom.

I met up with Bryony as she arrived at her Mum & Dad's house where they, along with Bryony's little sister Layla and bridesmaids, eagerly awaited her.

After a quick drink, lots of giggles and hugs it was time for Bryony to put on her wedding dress. Her dress was made by a VERY special designer ..... her Great Nan! Yes that's right, this simple and elegant dress, along with the intricate hand sewn lace flower overlay was over 50 years old and worn by her Nana on her wedding in the very same church Bryony & Chris were abut to get married in. Special? Just a little bit!

The church was filled with flowers, sunlight and excited guests as Bryony arrived in her parents very cool VW.

Group photos and ad hoc confetti throwing followed a ceremony full of laughter, smiles and proud glances ahead of everyone going to the reception.

Bryony and Chris are proper foodies meaning there were canapes a plenty!

Bathed in warm sunshine we got some fun photographs of the bridal party and wonderfully romantic couple portraits in the gardens.

A seven course wedding breakfast and hilarious speeches took place before the first dance, wood fired pizza by The Proper Pizza Company and a banging busy dace floor courtesy of Strobe Disco Roadshow.

Before I left Bryony had changed into a super cute short dress and I just couldn't resist a few more images of them beneath festoon lights amongst the darkness.

A massive thank you to Bryony and Chris plus their families and friends for making me so welcome on the day and ensuring I was looked after and well catered for.
