Katy & John
I didn’t really know what to expect of Katy & John’s wedding day, which doesn’t happen to me often! Even with having visited Katy’s parents home and garden where the wedding reception would be held (it was a bitterly cold March day), I just couldn’t visualise it all. After meeting my couples at least once and spending the pre-wedding shoot with them, I’ve usually got a fairly good idea of the style and feel of their day, but not this this time!
I couldn’t have predicted what a marvellous day this would be that’s for sure! With Katy getting ready at her parents beautiful home in Corby Glen before being taken to church in a vintage car driven by her dad, a personal church service taken by their parish vicar before confetti against a bright blue sky.
It didn’t stop there! As guests walked to the reception Katy & John were driven by a family friend in an open top Triumph classic car – complete with a just married sign and tin cans trailing!
There was lots of Pimms drinking in the sunshine to be done before they all went into the marquee for the cake cut, speeches and meal.
A quick spin on the dance floor before heading out for some couple portraits in the beautiful wild flower meadow Katy’s dad had cultivated to perfection for his daughter’s wedding day.
Thank you Katy & John for making me feel welcome, special thanks to Katy’s parents and sister for ensuring I had everything I needed all day long.
