Who you’ll get

MY JOURNEY INTO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

After nine years of growing and developing my wedding photography business, I know exactly what I can offer you; me. I know it sounds obvious but, I’m not really ‘cool’ or ‘trendy’! I am relaxed and straight forward, a heart on my sleeve kind of person. Couples tell me I put them at ease and I make creating natural looking images easy. It makes me proud to give you emotive photographs, that will stand the test of time and still look great when you show future generations.

What I’m doing when I’m not photographing weddings

CONTENT CONTAINS CATS & YOGA!

I love discovering new places both here and overseas. We love campervanning, backpacking and staying in character cottages.

I love cheese and crisps, music and dancing, yoga and Scrabble, steam trains and the 1940’s.

I walk a lot and I’m slowly warming to cycling (I couldn’t ride a push bike until I was 9 years old and fell off as recently as last year)!

One summer, Andy and I, along with four good friends climbed Mount Snowden. For a girl from the flat Fenland that is quite an achievement!

I love my garden and have set it up cottage style with lots of flowers for pellenators. You’ll often find me there with our two cats, Buster and Blu.

Yoga is the only form of exercise I have found that I show up for every week. I think the connection with the earth and being barefoot is energising for me. I love the strength and balance it gives to me and this helps me massively with fitness for your weddings!

I’ve had a husband for seven years

I KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO PLAN A WEDDING!

I married the man that built me a desk for my office at a moments notice, shares responsibility for our cats and keeps me in general good humour! I cannot explain to you how much fun you will have at your wedding. It is a fabulous, adrenalin filled day; it is truly awesome! Exploring life with Andy is the most incredible journey, which I love.

When I became a wedding photographer

THE LEAP OF FAITH!

In late 2013, after 20 years of working in finance, I was made redundant and grabbed that opportunity to leap into the world of full time wedding photography.

To now be in a profession that I love and enables me to stretch my creativity makes me unbelievably happy.

The financial background gives me great organisational skills, which in turn, allows me to help you with aspects of your wedding planning.

I had been an aspiring nature and landscape photographer when I came to realise how much I enjoy photographing people. It’s the moments that matter and I photograph from my heart.

My interest in photography escalated whilst travelling in North and South Africa, Croatia, Denmark, Vietnam and here in our beautiful British Isles. Fine tuning the art of catching an expression, the desired light and the emotion as I wandered towns, cities and outlying villages in search of inspiration became a part of who I am.
