Bassmead Manor Barns Wedding

Bride and groom drinking cocktails at Bassmead Manor Barns

I had been looking forward to Clare & Craig’s wedding since first meeting them back in June 2016. They have an amazing vibe between them, a great sense of fun and madly in love, plus they like a bit (quite a lot) of banter!

Their wedding day was a total dream from start to finish! I arrived at the stunning Bassmead Manor Barns to find Craig, his best man and one of his ushers in fits of laughter at the top of the driveway, attempting to put up signs welcoming guests to the big day.

Clare, along with her Mum and bridesmaids were busy drinking fizz, eating crisps and having their hair and make up perfected in the bridal boudoir. Super chilled and full of laughter, the atmosphere was lovely. I popped over to Dove Cottage to capture Craig and his groomsmen getting ready, I wasn’t surprised to hear laughter before I even got through the door!

Guests arrived on a lovely vintage bus arranged by the couple and in a pretty VW camper, to a courtyard filled with sunshine and smiles.

The emotions inside that Rickety Barn as Clare’s Mum walked her up the aisle to marry Craig were brimming, there was so much love and happiness in one room. Once married, this cool couple headed outside for cocktails and confetti.

Couple and bridal party photographs with the vintage bus and VW camper followed, while guests enjoyed drinks from the Moat Barn.

Clare & Craig scaled lots of time into their day, which enabled them to enjoy chatting to their family and friends, eat canapes, have drinks plus capture all of the photographs they wanted to enable them to look back at their wedding day. Heaven!

Everyone was persuaded from the sunshine into Bridge Barn. Speeches from Clare’s mum and best man Sean followed, but no one was more at home entertaining his guests than Craig! Honestly, I really began to wonder if he was going to stand and talk to everyone all night long and the thing is, I don’t think anyone would have minded!

After the meal guests headed back outside to be greeted by a gin bar! Once armed with a G&T themselves, Clare & Craig wandered out with me to a wheat field at the front of the venue for some sumptuous golden hour images.

After the cutting of the cake, they kicked off their evening with a cracking first dance to ACDC’s You Shook Me All Night Long!

This was one of the most relaxed, funny, emotional, truly fantastic weddings I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. Thank you Clare & Craig for trusting me, to all of your bridesmaids and groomsmen for being super helpful, great fun and for making me feel an integral part of your day.

Cambridge College Wedding

The Friday before Christmas was a beautiful day to wander the garden at Emmanuel College, that means so much to Christine and Matthew. After a while walking, talking and having some couple portraits, it was time for them to read the personal vows that had written to each other. There wasn’t a breath of wind, everything was still as they exchanged words. A special time.
