Deene Park Micro Wedding

Kelly & Dan’s wedding took place at the idyllic Deene Park, a wedding venue nestled into the Northamptonshire countryside and also, where Kelly works. How utterly amazing to work within this breathtaking countryside estate, but even more amazing to get married there!

A full size wedding planned for June just wasn’t able to happen, so instead of postponing for a year, they decided to go ahead in September with their micro wedding.

I’d met Kelly and Dan a few years ago, when I photographed their friends, Bryony & Chris’ wedding. When Kelly contacted me to say her and Dan were going to get married and asked me to be their photographer, I jumped at the chance. I can’t describe to you what a brilliant feeling it is; to have people get in touch because they love your work, they’ve liked you, and they trust you to capture one of the most important days for them.

It really was the perfect day and importantly Kelly & Dan were very relaxed all day. They enjoyed the company of their loved ones they’d invited to share this day with them and relished in spending time together when we went for their couple portraits.

The bond here is strong, I got a real sense of grounded, solid love and support for each other. Along with some mickey-taking, face pulling and outright laughter!

A massive thank you to wedding planner Georgina, who ensured I was an integral part of the day and an absolute joy to work alongside. Also to Mr & Mrs Brudenell, the welcoming owners of this marvellous estate.
