Histon Church and Kings College Cambridge in the summertime, August 2022

This beautifully intimate summer wedding will stay with me for a long time. Hannah & Tom asked their close family to join them in celebrating their marriage in church, before heading into Cambridge city centre and the iconic Kings College for the drinks reception.

I have never been offered so many drinks and canapés. I was made to feel like a guest and we had the best afternoon mingling on the famous ‘keep of the grass’ lawns; although due to the heatwave the grass looked more like sand!

Pimms and punting followed, with the added hilarity of one of our punts picking up a man who had accidentally fallen into the river Cam! No harm done and he probably didn’t expect to become a wedding party member or have his photo taken that morning!

I left as everyone headed in to the hall for the wedding breakfast and a relaxed evening.
