Charlotte and Ben’s wedding day was all kinds of lovely, right from the moment I arrived at The William Cecil Hotel in Stamford to find a room full of very excited people having their hair and make up done.
Charlotte had made each of her bridesmaids a personalised box full of gifts which were amazing!
It wasn’t long before it was time for Charlotte to get ready and her dad arrived to see his daughter in her wedding dress, he couldn’t have been happier. We had time for some lovely family portraits before heading to church.
I have to say that Orton Longueville Church in Peterborough is one of the prettiest churches I have ever photographed a wedding at.
After a beautiful ceremony everyone headed outside for congratulations, group shots and the prettiest confetti tunnel beneath the boughs of a big tree with the sun shining through it’s coat of autumn leaves.
I’d spotted a lovely field of flowering oil seed rape on the way to the venue that morning and after running it past Charlotte and Ben, they were more than happy to stop off and wade in en route back to Stamford. We spent a magical half an hour getting some lovely images with the most amazing sunlight and colours.
Back at The William Cecil it was time for drinks, canapés, mingling and some photographs of the couple, bridesmaids and groomsmen in the grounds.
The marquee was looking stunning with it’s Game of Thrones styling and it was time for speeches and the meal.
On into the main building for the cake cut and first dance while evening guests were airing to help this lovely couple celebrate their perfect day.
