Beki & Mark

Stylish Hertfordshire country house wedding reception

Married at the gorgeous Catholic church in Royston, Beki & Mark enjoyed one of the hottest days in 2019 for their wedding. It was quite remarkable because thunder storms and heavy rain had been forecast all week long, including on the actual wedding morning!

Bride prep

Beki prepared for her wedding in the family home she’d grown up in and it had a very warm vibe to it. The place was filled with laughter, prosecco and food! There were so many gifts and so much love between these people on such a special day.

Beki asked Kerry, the wonderful Cambridge Makeup Artist, to do hair for herself all of the ladies. It was great to meet Hayley Bronti, who made an amazing job of Beki’s bridal make up. These talented ladies were blown away with seeing Beki in her dress when it was time for the veil to be put into place and lipstick touch ups, (watch out for Kerry’s expression in the photos)!

The venue

Burloes Hall is a stunning country house venue. Located in the rolling Hertfordshire hills and looking across the magnificent countryside, with uninterrupted views to farmland, it’s the perfect place to celebrate with your wedding day family and friends. All of this is complimented by generous lawns bordered by beautiful flower borders, plus secret gardens and avenues of trees. (Yes I love gardens and yes I was in heaven photographing here)!

Wedding breakfast, speeches and into the evening

Whenever I see CDC are providing the catering, my heart skips a little beat as I know everyone is going to enjoy excellent food and service from with super professional team.

The speeches were extremely emotional and hilarious, leaving guests crying and laughing in equal measure. The light inside Burloes Hall marquee is amazing, giving you wonderful natural light images.

The evening sunshine was just perfect and I couldn’t resist taking Beki & Mark for more couple portraits as the sun was getting mellow, golden hour had arrived!

Back inside the band and DJ were warming up for an evening of serious shape throwing, after a romantic first dance complete with twirls.

Cambridge College Wedding

The Friday before Christmas was a beautiful day to wander the garden at Emmanuel College, that means so much to Christine and Matthew. After a while walking, talking and having some couple portraits, it was time for them to read the personal vows that had written to each other. There wasn’t a breath of wind, everything was still as they exchanged words. A special time.
