Elegant Cambridgeshire countryside wedding

Firefighters Chloe and Ben married on a gorgeous September day in a beautiful village church, followed by a truly elegant reception at neighbouring Elton Hall on the outskirts of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

The venue

Elton Hall is nestled in the Cambridgeshire countryside amongst over 3000 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. Holding just 5 weddings per year this exclusive venue really is something special. From intimate weddings in the orangery to large weddings held in a marquee adjacent to the hall, this venue really does have something for everyone. It is a wedding photographers paradise, being spoilt for choice where to take photographs next.

Wedding breakfast, speeches and into the evening

Chloe’s parents have a catering business and naturally, took care of the food for the day. I have never, ever seen a dessert table of such an epic scale and to say the whole family are foodies is a total understatement!

Mother of the bride Sue was first to take to the microphone, with tales of many antics from Chloe over the years. Most of them involved either her dad Rob, but mostly her true partner in crime and Maid of Honour Emma! Lots of laughs followed to speeches by best man Aydan, aforementioned Emma plus the bride and groom themselves.

The cake was cut in fitting flamboyant style using a firefighers axe!

The Matt Stratford Band were on hand to provide music for an evening, which I am quite, sure was filled with much dancing, eating and drinking!
