Broom Hall Country Hotel Norfolk Wedding, Norfolk Wedding Photography
Wedding couple at Broom Hall Country Hotel Norfolk

I first met Miki & Ben in a Norfolk pub for their consultation meeting after Miki’s sister Callie found me on Instagram. We hit it off instantly and I came away with my fingers crossed that they’d ask me to be their wedding photographer – my wish was granted!

Miki & Ben are proper salt of the earth people. Happy, warm, full of fun with a strong sense of family spirit and to arrive in a house where Mark, Miki’s dad, is making pancakes on the wedding morning is always going to win hearts!

After a calm morning of hair and make up being perfected (and pancake eating), it was time for Callie to help Miki into her stunning wedding dress. Hiding in a room out of sight I caught the moment Mark saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, it was such a beautiful moment.

In a flurry of excitement it was announced that Olive and Pearl the VW campers had arrived!

Miki had told me she’d given a box to their best man Myles to present to Ben as a wedding gift upon my arrival at church. To say Ben was delighted with his gift of a TAG watch would be an understatement!

They were married in Swaffham church, which I have to say is one of the most stunning churches I have ever photographed a wedding at. Lots of hugging and congratulations followed outside the church, along with confetti and group shots before heading to the venue.

The Broom Hall Country Hotel is a secluded wedding venue in Saham Toney, Norfolk and is perfect for intimate weddings. Upon arrival I captured candid photos of guests enjoying drinks in the gardens along with Miki and Ben, before getting some fun shots of them and their bridal party and couple portraits.

The speeches before the meal were fantastic, with Myles leaving no stone unturned and Mark pretty much doing the same!

Ben had got changed into his ‘greens’ before the speeches, Miki had taken her veil out and we went for a second set of more relaxed couple portraits in the dewy evening light before returning inside for their cake cut, first dance and the hokey cokey!

The Friday before Christmas was a beautiful day to wander the garden at Emmanuel College, that means so much to Christine and Matthew. After a while walking, talking and having some couple portraits, it was time for them to read the personal vows that had written to each other. There wasn’t a breath of wind, everything was still as they exchanged words. A special time.
